From September 23, the test period of the Alitalia COVID-tested flights takes off.
Following the Lombardy Region ordinance (nr 609 of September 17, 2020), until November 6, two of the seven Alitalia flights operating the route Milano Linate (LIN) - Roma Fiumicino (FCO) will only transport passengers who have tested negative for Covid-19.

The flights involved in the test period are the following:
•           AZ 2039 at 10:00 a.m. (operating every day of the week)
•           AZ 2061 at 5.00 p.m. (operating from Monday to Friday)

Boarding on these two flights will be allowed only to passengers who present a medical certificate with a negative molecular (RT-PCR) or antigen test result carried out within 72 hours before boarding, and to passengers who undergo a free rapid antigen test at the airport on the day of departure, receiving thereafter a negative result.

In Milano Linate airport, the antigen test, in collaboration with Lombardy Region, will be carried out at the “Box Area Test Covid-19” Health Centre, located at the Departures Floor, Check-In Zone, Door 2, Area 1, showing up 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

To undergo the test in the airport, it is necessary to show up at the airport Covid-19 testing area, carrying a flight ticket subject to COVID testing and an ID card/passport. You will be given an identification number (without having to queue). A doctor will, then, crosscheck your personal data with your ID, associating the identification number you previously received to proceed with the following communication of the results.

Once the swab has been taken, the result will be delivered to Counter 103 within 30 minutesPassengers waiting for results cannot leave the area until they receive their report.

If the result is negative, you will receive a certificate confirming negativity for Covi-19, which you can show at the check-in counter with, or, if you already have a boarding pass, you can go straight to the gate waiting for boarding.

If the result is positive, you will be subjected to a molecular test in the testing area, you will not be able to board, and you will have to remain in isolation until the outcome of the second test.
