Malpensa continues to expand the range of international destinations with a new direct flight to Bahrain
Malpensa continues to expand the range of international destinations and after the announcement of Eva Air's new connections with Taiwan (Taipei) and with Sun Express to Turkey (Izmir), Gulf Air returns to Malpensa with a direct flight to Bahrain starting July 2020.
The flight will be operated with the new A321neo aircraft with daily departure from Malpensa at 11:35 am and arrival in Bahrain at 6:10 pm. The return flight from Bahrain will be at 1:25 am with arrival at Milan Malpensa at 6:55 am. Bahrain International Airport in Al Muharraq is the company's hub and is located 7 kilometers from the center of the capital, Manama.
Tourism in Bahrain has increased in recent years thanks to the international visibility given by the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The country, an archipelago of 33 islands with a large community of expats, offers visitors interesting experiences such as a visit to the imposing Al Fateh Mosque, the 16th century Qal'at al-Bahrain fortress built by the Portuguese, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Souq Bab el-Bahrain. The country is famous for its jewels: do not miss a visit to the island of Muharraq from where many of the boats dedicated to the collection of oysters depart.
